Several farmers\u2019 associations held a meeting and called for the immediate dismissal of the unlawfully and illegally filed claims of liability against the affected farmers. According to reports by N1<\/a>, they also announced blockades and protests for Friday this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Farmers demand the dismissal of the entire Ministry of Agriculture, headed by Minister Aleksandar Martinovi\u0107, of the Parliamentary Committee for Agriculture, headed by Marijan Risti\u010devi\u0107, and the dismissal of Prime Minister Milo\u0161 Vu\u010devi\u0107 as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Putting the farm in a state of liability is a pressuring technique, according to the Ne damo Jadar<\/em> (We won\u2019t give Jadar up) group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“The claim for acknowledgement of liability of our own Zlatko Kokanovi\u0107\u2019s agricultural holding is a pressure technique, attempting to push him and his family to give up the fight against mining\u201d, says the Instagram page of the Ne Damo Jadar<\/em> association of which Kokanovi\u0107 is the vice president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ne damo Jadar<\/em> informed the public about the claim against Kokanovi\u0107 on Saturday, December 7. Previously, the same claim had been filed against the farm of Predrag Veljkovi\u0107, a single father. On Monday December 9, it was learnt that another claim had been filed this time against the farm of Milan Paji\u0107, from Badovinci. Incidentally, Paji\u0107 spoke at the last protest of the Ne damo Jadar<\/em> association which took place in Loznica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Neboj\u0161a Petkovi\u0107 from the Nedamo<\/em> Jadar<\/em> association points out, “Zlatko Kokanovi\u0107, Predrag Veljkovi\u0107, \u0110oka \u0106ur\u010di\u0107 and Milan Paji\u0107 are all members of the group who fought for and obtained the subsidies that farmers received over the last year”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group Na\u0161e mleko<\/em> (Our Milk) and the Association for the Survival and Rescue of Livestock Farmers of Western Serbia are the organisers of this Friday\u2019s blockades<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The call for blockades was made during a meeting, held in Badovinci, which was attended by farmers\u2019 associations from across Serbia, including: Na\u0161e mleko<\/em> (Our Milk), the Association for the Survival and Rescue of Livestock Farmers in Western Serbia, Asocijacija 2022<\/em>, Northern Banat \u2013 Kikinda, the Initiative for the Survival of Serbian Farmers, the Association of Milk Producers from \u0160umadija and Pomoravlje, Banatska Crnica<\/em>, and the NADIBAR <\/em>Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported by N1, Na\u0161e Mleko<\/em> and the Association for the Survival and Rescue of Livestock Farmers of Western Serbia will begin protests and blockades on Friday, while the rest will decide on their next steps in due course. During the meeting held in Badovinci, the same group of farmers\u2019 associations expressed their full solidarity with students and citizens across the country. “Farmers express their full support for the students and their demands, as well as for all disgruntled citizens who demand the Government be held accountable,” reads their statement as reported by Danas<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
