This morning two workers, around thirty and forty years old, died after falling from great height. The ambulance received an emergency call at 9:42 a.m. and the two medical teams sent could only pronounce them dead at the scene.
Belgrade Waterfront press office refused to give any comments for Mašina, and said that they will be issuing a press release during the day.
Earlier this year, in July, news broke that around eighty Turkish citizens have been illegally employed at Belgrade Waterfront construction site, and that they have not received any payments for two months.
In just a few weeks, the total number of lost lives on Belgrade construction sites counts four people. Two weeks ago a construction worker got killed at a luxury apartment complex construction site on the spot of the former Belgrade US Embassy, while just a few days ago another worker succumbed to the injuries after falling from the scaffold at a construction site in New Belgrade. Both workers were illegally employed.
More information soon.
